Anthony Martial celebrated his 16th goal of the season for Manchester United in their sensational 2-0 victory over Man City.
The win ensured United clinched a league double over their Manchester rivals for the first time in 10 seasons — with Martial equalling his best ever Premier League goal tally for a season, with 11.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have now gone 10 games without defeat and are charging towards the top four.
And Martial also claimed a small slice of history for himself.
He became the first United player to score in both Premier League Manchester derbies in the same season, since club icon Cristiano Ronaldo did it in the 2006/07 campaign.
Martial caught Ederson out at his near post in United’s 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium in December. And his Old Trafford strike was similar, although it came from a quick-thinking Bruno Fernandes set-piece, the Frenchman volleying beyond Ederson who should have done better.
Martial has received his fair share of flak this season, but is paying back Solskjaer’s faith with some important goals.
His performance against City prompted another former United favourite in Rio Ferdinand to tweet “I like angry Anthony Martial”, with droves of United fans taking to social media to state their agreement.
Martial picked up two deep cuts to his shins in a second half collision with the woodwork, which eventually forced him off the field.
United fans and Solskjaer will hope he is okay to continue his stellar form up front ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League visit to LASK.
