Best online Irish stores to get your fashion fix from home – RSVP Live

Usually, our days are packed full of things we need to do. Rushing to and from the office, keeping up your fitness in the gym, ferrying kids to activities and playdates, Saturday afternoons with the girls… the list is endless.

However, all those things that once filled our time have now evaporated.  Once upon a time we would spend Friday evenings and Sunday mornings in the crowded changing room at Zara, but thanks to social distancing those days are over.

The upside is that leaves a whole lot more time to browse the online shops from the comfort of our couch… we can even do it during work hours cause there’s no pesky boss looking over our shoulders.

Like every other industry, retail is being affected badly by the coronavirus crisis and while the high street stores may be able to absorb the cost, it’s going to be tougher on smaller independent stores.

If you still want your fashion fix but would like to buy local, there’s plenty of Irish stores that have some seriously stylish pieces you can buy online. Here are some of our favourites.

Folkster

Want to buy something to cheer you up in these dark days? Look no further than  Folkster. Specialising in vintage and bridal, Folkster have some fantastically unique pieces. We adore this embellished, hand-beaded cropped jacket. Perfect for a night out, but while we can’t go out, you can always wear it around your kitchen! The best news, it’s reduced to €89.

If you are not familiar with Willow.ie, now is the time to get acquainted. They offer a fresh and unique mix of styles and have some really gorgeous brands available. This polka dot midi dress is the perfect piece to transition from spring to summer and it’s only €30 too!

Macbees, Killarney

Supporting established and emerging fashion brands, you are guaranteed to find something a little different in this Killarney based store. Wide-legged trousers are on trend this season and this pair is relaxed yet sophisticated and is our pick for spring.

Carraig Donn

If you love value for money combined but don’t want to compromise on style, Carraig Donn have you covered. Dresses often cost under €55 but you will look like a million dollars. This Rowen Avenue yellow printed shirt dress will keep the sunny side up on these grey days and comes in at a pocket-friendly €49.

Pauls of Kilkenny

This store has something for everyone and there’s even a section of their website dedicated to Lisa’s Lust List’s top picks! This paisley print blouse has a fabulous bow-tie and the shirt has a lovely silky-textured finish. It costs €119.
