Miss the NCAA tournament reveal? Of course you do. Joe Lunardi understands, so revealed his seed list Sunday night.
“It’s still Selection Sunday, so let’s make lemonade,” ESPN’s bracketologist tweeted.
And — not that it would do IU basketball coach Archie Miller any good now — Lunardi had the Hoosiers in the field, as an 11th seed and the final at-large team before the “play-in” games.
Lunardi’s bracket breakdown a week or so ago had the Hoosiers as one of his “last four in,” rankling Miller. Other bracketologists had IU in on firmer footing.
On Lunardi’s final list, IU’s matchup by seed is Big Ten foe Michigan, though the NCAA wouldn’t pit conference foes against each other in the first round. Lunardi had the Hoosiers playing Brigham Young.
Lunardi had Butler as a fifth seed, playing Richmond in the first round. Purdue was his No. 75 team, in his “next four out.”
Though some fans were curious, the NCAA decided against releasing a bracket, believing it wouldn’t be fair to teams that already don’t have a tournament to play.
