Fairgoers from around New York open up about why they came to this summer’s fair.

HOW IS “NIL” WORKING FOR SU STUDENT-ATHLETES SO FAR? Syracuse basketball player Buddy Boeheim has been among the most active college athletes taking advantage of Name-Image-Likeness rights — his endorsement of a breakfast cereal is just one example. Is the season opener a “must-win” game for SU football? It feels like it:The first game of the season isn’t usually considered a “must-win” for any team. Brent Axe argues, though, that the phrase might be accurate for the Syracuse football team.
